Vivek admitted that neither of his parents were citizens at the time of his birth in a September 2023 interview with NBC's Dasha Burns. That same month at a Republican Presidential Primary Debate he said he would end birthright citizenship if he were elected.
Why This Matters
This contradicts American values. Executive Order 14160 signed by Donald Trump ended birthright citizenship for the children of illegal aliens and temporary residents, and the Republican party has always supported such a measure. Vivek contradicts America First values in this way.
This highlights his dishonesty. Knowing that this is one of the most controversial issues in America today, him not being forthcoming with this fact shows that he is willing to hide relevent information from the voter base.
Loyalty. Foreign influence is a huge problem in America and we need to ensure that all our leaders are solely loyal to our country. We cannot trust a Hindu man whose entire family are Indian citizens to make the rules for America.
